Every month we here at Sacred Glo love offering a great giveaway. This month is no different!

We spoke with our friends over at Hope For Women magazine and they agreed to join us in giving Mother a very special gift. My mom is one of the quietly faithful. She doesn’t whoop and holler for the Lord, but she serves Him everyday. She shows in 1000 ways, me and everyone in her life the steady and caring heart of our Lord. Taking food to the sick in our church. Visiting the elderly just to talk. Setting up decorations for church events and helping to clean up after. Nothing my mom does would make the six o’clock news and she is never thanked in front of the congregation, and that just makes me realize how Christ-like she really is. She serves because she cares, not for the reward. Her example has been a precious gift to me. Though I have no specific insight to what my mom has prayed for me, I know that she does so every day. No matter what I am going through, from the most victorious moment to the time when I cannot get out of bed, I know that behind me stands a faithful prayer warrior, asking God every day for the best for me.

I’ve never had a good relationship with my mom. Perhaps the fact that many of my friends were scared of her (she was the school principal) always got me going.
Now that I have three children of my own I see how hard things were on her. I understand wanting the best for your child even if it means tough love. I look at her now with admiration and amazing respect because of her I am the mother I am today.
She continues to teach me even in adulthood. With her newly refreshed faith in God. I know she is praying for me every day and I thank her for that. It’s because of her that I’m not afraid to tell people that I’m a Christian and that yep today God blessed me once again with his amazing grace.
So thank you mom for all that you have done, all that you are doing and all that you will do to mold me and shape me into an a God loving, passionate mother who would do anything for her child – because that is exactly what you are!
